One time i have talked with my mom about the open phone in a cafe. We were discussing the name of the operating system and phone itself. I have metioned to her that i was considering naming it something like "Smooth Operator" or "Smooth Operating System" in reference to the song by sade. We finished talking and drinking our cafe and cheese cake when went back inside the cafe only to hearing the sound of "Smooth Operator" by Sade coming from the Loud Speaker. We were in aww. This was 2025, smooth operator is not in the charts anymore. I just came back from my walk&talk with my mom. It was more of a sit&talk this time around because of the sun. It was 30 degrees outside! I showed her my progress on the open phone. Right before she arrived at my flat i was still working on it in the hopes to have something presentable. A lot of mistakes happend. I started to work on faking alot of logic to make it work only for the sim chip not to respond. That was because i didnt have hooked it up AT ALL.... when i soldered the wires on i misread a pinout of the chip cause i had to use the schematics on the internet. I did notice it though before i soldered the other side and because of time constraints and the fact that i thought it might be funny that a cable was just hanging out of the phone i kept it. but dispite best effort the chip still didnt respond to my requests like it used to on the breadboard... i gave up. When i showed my mom the "phone" it was a great success cause she laughed when she noticed the cable falling out. When i told her that it was partially on purpose and explained to her how it happend i have noticed that i did solder a second cable on the correct pin but somehow managed to solder the wrong end of the two on the board... i was thankful that this way i could find the problem without having to debug alot. Remeber to work not with enough time on hand else you do things to quickly and make mistakes.:
